Clouds across my face
Why do I feel so displaced
One minute I am on top of the world
No need to push the positivity
It’s there it’s in me and I’m
Reassured that I can accomplish
Almost anything and then a ton of bricks
The clouds roll in it’s like
I can’t get it one hundred percent right
It’s unrealistic to think that
Anyone could it happens every time
I’m tracking and then backtracking
A reason to celebrate something
Comes in to knock me down and
To remind me that there are more
Obstacles to overcome get me down
You need to clean harder NOW
You need to watch your time NOW
Be smarter you are overstepping NOW
There is no leniency for error NOW
My incompetence is evident
Because I don’t have all the facts
And I become emotional when the truth
Is new the facts have changed I’m going hard
Showing up strong and still
Find another person another
Law another rule that wants to
Say unfortunately for you
This doesn’t translate
So show up better next time
But also be prepared to find fresh air
The clouds will always roll in unexpectedly
But they cannot stand in front
Of our opportunity to keep blowing
Disconcertion from despair
