Is this what freedom feels like?
Pensive music playing
I could walk 111 blocks
Travel the longest corridor
Decorated in my freedom
How precious is this
More than a third grade excellence
Waking up without a care
In the world
No one but myself to report to
My favorite lapels
Extra pointy
Marching out into the morning
With the light of the universe
Apparently I’ve grown up
Turning porch lights
On and off on my own
Who is the Queen or the King
Of said pleasures
Even if to study the board
Or the game of life
Is it the sandwich that we share
Or the one we could enjoy
On our own
Perhaps to share a meal is better
But to share one with yourself
Is pretty damn good
Even though I should choose
To find new avenues
Nothing quite fits the pair
Of recognition and confidence
For where will we meet
If these players are to
Bask in their position
It cannot be found rightly
Without a little burn
A charming dance
Without accomplished
One handed buttoning
Down the front
Of a favorite jacket
It’s been decided
The playground is open
Have you any plans
How do you like to play with sand?
