Aureole

Resting in a dark chamber
Run round like a circle
In surrounded brightness
I find you at the center
Of an aureole
I went running
Out into the forest
Naked with disbelief
Jumped into the water
That wraps around the property
Only to find myself
Soaking cold and shivering
But satisfied with the delight
Of my arousal of you
At you only you my secret
To hold my secret to tell
A secret I want to know
Better than I already do
If only I am just a little less shy
A little less trembling
A little more forward
Like running over broken glass
I should only find the hootspa
Maybe if the meadow was
A little less gold that day
Perhaps if the sky was
A little less blue
I shall not be vacant
Hoist by my own petard
Like a dancing knife
Between your fingers
Afraid to kiss
But not afraid to cut
Staring at you
Without watching the blade
That was the light
That lit up the field that day
Chasing after the shadow
Of an almost moment
That still might happen
Resting in a dark chamber
At the center of your aureole
