I found someone else to
Comfort me fill in the blanks
Temporarily but still it was only
Almost the same the heart math
Is finally adding up to
What we were unable to
Formulate in the quadratic
Equation of our friendship
Mutiny is in the air
I’m not as important as
Every other girl
You turned at least two of my
Friends into your relationships
Where were your friends when
I brought you into my world
Into all of it and now you
Are having trouble showing
Up for me I guess I can
Finally see why I was
Left in a fetal position
Wrapped up on the floor
Comforting myself for hours
Begging for more attention
It’s gotten quite cringey
Hasn’t it me chomping at the bit
Wishing for all of it to be
The friendship that I dreamed of
Listening to records and
Sharing poetry every worthy
Moment unwaisted and yet
I have learned it could only be
What you were willing to let it be
And boys typically aren’t in the
Picture so I guess that
Also includes me
