It just so happens that I
Like the taste of salt
But share I not of your tears
For they are both sacred
A revolution endeared
In the obvious clearing
Of a love grove manifested
By the planting of such trees
One by one in an orchard
That needn’t be mentioned
Further past my lips
Than the whispers to your ears
Perhaps you remember me
Once upon a dream
Floating through your memory
By cause most likely
Difficult to see but certainly
You have an image of a time
We spent together when
You were feeling what some call
A reverie of momentary joy
And the cloth between us is cream
And the words between us
May seem of Sanskrit ages
Old and antique like the rotted oud
Of the most beautiful tree
Tangled up in our hearts for
All kingdoms to see where
The blood of roses pool up
Into our great eternity
It just so happens you see
You might remember me
