What is the sense of urgency that
Rushes through every cell in the body
In justification to make us feel
Like something wild will be missed
Even seven years of security
Cannot cure this
What is the end of the world
Crawling up the back
Tingling into every vertebrae
As the spine cracks and pops
Like fireworks mixed with dynamite
Emotions explode inside
As if the greatest
Thing in life will be missed
Every time
Why is the end of eternity
Upon us?
Are we eternally plagued
By the intensity
Of missing the greatest thing
That never happens to us?
