If we locked eyes on the street
Would you recognize my
Shadow or see my outline
Backlit across the drapes
Along the wall
I see the candlelight
Flickering beneath the sheets
Open your mouth
Let the light shine out
Sparks between us
Starlight enters through the
Windows and there’s a demon
Up ahead maybe we should
Reconsider getting out of bed
Disappear without a trace
Touch me now
Kiss my face
There’s a devil dancing
In the field below
Just past the edge of the
Rooftop you can see a
Pale moon beaming
Over a trail of tears
Fire and fears footprints
Burned into the years
Before us the past is ours
To let go of much like the
Emotions we’re desisting
Heat between us
Still persisting crawl onto
The roof with me breathe
And feel the mist of destiny
Beneath our naked bodies
Would you recognize me
If you saw me on the street
I’d recognize you in the
Way you speak even if I
Saw your shadow passing
Silently in the dark
