Bridges

I’m not one to burn bridges
I’m more into building them
People can die when the
Scaffolding collapses
Lose our friends
Relationships end
Being with someone
Can also be lonely
Just as much as being
Alone can also fulfill you
Main cables stretched
Out into the sky like
Horizontal arms
Wishing to fly
Or at the very least
Feel something
Spun and strung
Between heart towers
Stacking rocks
Twisting the sky
Steel anchorages
Water sloshing against
Our bedrocks
It’s never to late
To try

Νερό

Circuitous but constant
Is the path of experience
All the lights go down and
A world opens up to someone
Who hasn’t been seen by others
As the beautiful monarch that they are

He took time to radiate that
Back to her from pictures on
Her walls to the voice of
Friendships from the past
Orchestrated by imagery that
Could last a lifetime

This turned into a reel of
Musical talent that needed to be
Protected and the scaffolding outside
Her home that her grandfather put in
Needed support

I began to help build things as
Some thinned concrete bricks were
Sliding away and the mud became purple
It was more like a work to build
Infrastructure that felt good in your hands
While you were doing it
A tetris catharsis

We knew there was only one way in
Everyone was getting older
She had a chance to guide them
The well was deep
The pit was narrow
She loved the water
Her life depended
On the right angle
To survive

Junkyard Heart

People maurading through the streets
Every dance floor in the city
Has seen his feet seagulls cry
In morning light and ferris wheels
Are tempting stories of making out

We aren’t going anywhere
But we aren’t children anymore
The water is only one hundred
Feet away and the dream of
Remembering how to kiss a stranger
Is an easy one to stake

In the tree there were so many birds
Small and large tiny ones too
I was chasing insects up the bark
To feed them all when I noticed
That their size was comparable to
Some of the smallest fledglings
At first I was nervous that
The bugs might score but then
I witnessed the birds enjoying one bite
After the other they were winning!
Had it never occurred to me
However that everyone needs to eat?

The wharf was kind of perfect on
Mornings like these observing
All the wildlife filling up their gullets
With a cool drink of rainwater
While nothing stopped the harbor,
Ever pressing courageous sensitivity
Was showing up at every corner of his heart
Starting from the north point

There was evidence of a struggle inside
But the gentleman driving the vessel
Hadn’t quite given up on the want for
And desire to abridge his destiny in love
When his brain came to it was
A waking life of friendly misbehaving
That enticed a little memory of adventure
Something he never quite gave up on
But somehow lost sight of in his masonry
To build a safe home inside his heart

Waterblocks

Est-ce que tu ne laissez pas moi?
He says, “You’re not letting me!”
It cannot make me happy
If you are not well and ready
Dancing on glasses filled
With water gripped by your feet
Long toes almost a second
Pair of hands to balance you out
Elegant smooth and flowing
Your soul is Sumerian your skin
Is dark your words are French
As I’m following or almost standing
In your way you are perfect
By design as my eyes are entranced
By your company my heart
Is throbbing like a drum
And you must prepare for your dance
Your smile is contagious and
Mine will not break in your presence
With dark glossy midnight mauve
Hair watch it dangle over your eyes
We cannot make impact until
I am completely out of your way
And my walks are also down
How many are there
How many to account for
I find a sledgehammer in my toolbox
I can help us both get here
Si je me retire du chemin!
Get out of the way
Si je me débarrasser du blocs!
Remove the block
Will you also dance for me
Or is this mistaken love
Passion is so tricky
In the chemical world
