Lostfun

He came home to their fun
With nothing left in the barracks for me
The counter was empty a mess of
Impossible promises and vacant
Connections for me to pick up
On the floor after we closed the
Door behind us no father to bear
Just the two of them bonding as usual
He couldn’t keep up with their
Banter or whatever was the spark
That ignited between them that was
Hard to describe in words
Wanting to join in he found himself
Pushing for another way
Illegal or other wise to play catch-up
But there wasn’t any just
The evidence of a time where
It was easier to get the things
One would need to throw
That kind of a Mister Irresponsible party
No more of that now just a clean
Collar and whatever will be
Left in the trappings of tomorrow
Dark circles worn eyes what
Drunkard goodbyes could
Only relate to if but only
To have one more hip hip hooray
Sometime in winter

Clouding

Immense emotion after all this time
Watch the rain unwind stretched out
Into little pieces like tears on a plain
Gravitating towards the west side
You can watch the cold air billowing
Beneath your nose and the shadows
From the light above cast slick images
With the movement and the sound of
Just being present in the elementary
Shock of unknowing things such as
Later today or tomorrow or ten years
From now but we still somehow charge
Ahead different from a time like the
Ancients who were savage and didn’t
Know if they would wake up alive or dead
But a similar consciousness to note
We are still humans creating challenges
And obstructing ourselves to feel
Some form of life coasting through our
Veins in the wet country of darkness
Seeking light and other forms of life
Will I remember to be a mad scientist?
Will I remember to have fun?
When the rest of the world stops
Following all the rules
Don’t forget to open the door for someone
Be kind to your neighbors when bombs
Come down from overhead in an
Apocalyptic thread unlike rain
It won’t matter if we’re dead

Too Wild

Divine intervention
If you were able to see your
Future self would you
Be pleased of what you saw
Or would you try to pull back
From where you are now to
Better your outcome
Fear of admitting fault
Is commonplace these days
People in general seem miserable
Is there a place where
Anyone is happy on earth
People are happy to hear
From you but unlikely to
Reach out on their own
My imagination is
Running too wild
With the possibility
I saw a girl with long hair
Walking, looking down
At her phone and smiling
She’s happy in her
Own little world
But this is not some place
You can buy a ticket to

In That Room

Where do you go
When you have no where to turn
When up is a cup of pleasure
That ends at the break of dawn
Certainly what is good
Will come out of it
Still the will to want more
Can fall short at the door
Also fancy footwork
In the making
Choreographing the days
To mimic the moments related
To joy and wanderlust
In a bed full of friends
On a couch with no space
For even one more rear end
Squished into the happiness
The laughter that lasts
Forever and ever after
As the calendar flips along
And the days droll and flounder
Month after month
Year after year
Remember my dear
The fun that we had
Don’t get too caught up
Becoming the businessman
You are also a bright glowing
Human of light and love
That knows how to have fun
In that room that you once
Found yourself satisfyingly tuned
To the station of life’s songful
Loon and an instrument to
Discovery not just robotically
Filling out forms
Paying the bills
Though you may catch your thrills
In different ways than before
Remember my dear
Have some fun like you did
When you were a kid
In that room
