Ghostly Love

The truth is
I am grateful
Honestly

I crave
I long for
Transcendent love

Exhaustion at the end
Of a busy day
Could never mask
My desires

My satisfaction
A feeling of work
To do what I’m
Capable of
With you

As surely as grass
Yearns for water
My mouth seeks
Your bread
Even if I fear
The breaking changes

Surrounded
I search a great cloud
In a sky full of witnesses
Throwing off everything
Daggers that hinder
The wisps if words
Are lisps that conjure
Us absent on lips

An arm around to receive
What lowers to raise
Dips down to retrieve
The ghost of a love engraved
That wanders the halls
Aimlessly

Calling out
For the home
That cements it
Underneath our
Foundation

In the chest
Of our bodies
Pressed together
Even if exhaled sharply
Just for a moment

Love Grove

Good hath come
To the generous heart
The lenders of selflessness given
Freely conducting
A symphony of their affairs
No worry no wear
Just being there

People look
Side to side
In a most bewildered stare
In my direction if not for money
Then what for?

I imagine
Walking slowly into the universal
Garden among the green
With a resilient ardent glow

If we should fall to
The consumption of the
Materials of being here on earth
Hidden behind the stained glass
Treasures in a manic state rebirthed
Walking atop the all too
Attractively colored shards

Our cause will crumble
Under her spell
The witch of darkness
Rings the bell
Call to the one in white
With blood free diamonds in her hair
To be so drawn to her
Though we are so often
Drawn to danger magnetically
There is a comfort
Knowing the trees
Are surely there

To coexist within a grove
That has not need
For pots of gold
Within our hearts and hands
For what we hold
Toward every footpath
Is surely sold
Our freedom from the coin
Into the wealth of love

Listen Closely

Sometimes the right thing to do
Is not what your body wants to do

Do not hinder the situation
By not following your summation
It’s in the gut

Gift it to the mind

Struck by the fool’s gold summit
In the gloom
On many knees shaken
We are together in the darkness

We shall all wish not to plummet
But it is for others to witness
To be undiminished somewhere

At the borders we must cross separately
But we will find our footsteps
Temperately stamped together
Cast out like nets
Retrieving emptiness
Without fish in our unanswerable scorn

Woe will prey on our hearts
But the distant light
Will soon escort our
Broken hands into
A cattle call of beastly prize

Third Time Charm

Third time is the charm
Follow your arm
Watch while the curving veins displayed
Within a pulse hot lava sprays
Will the memories we create
Make forth a magistrate
To take a gallon of your love
In just one pulp
Thirst quenching gulp
A bed ten thousand
Mattresses high
Still left to climb
But found in one
With you beside
Where cloud and sky
Drift by and slide
Atop of me you sweetly lay
A light blue air
Of blanket weighs on
Dreams so sleepily so peacefully
We stay
After seeing one then two
Learning what knowledge knows of too
Hold what is three as it could be
One plus one plus two make
Us becoming three
And now as third time is the charm
And we are liberated lovers
Innocent from global harm
In the secret garden harvest
Do we plant
The final seed
That farming sews
The story flows into a tattoo of
One heart upon our sleeve

My Second Part

Oh sweet love of my life
From which branch might
Thou be dangling
From which ladder might
Thou be purveying
Of which lake might
Thou be straying
Whilst my heart
Is chaste decaying?

Oh sweet love of my life
In which flame might
Thou be burning
Of which wheel might
Thou be turning
In which field might
Thou be flourishing
All thine flowers?

Oh sweet love of my life
In which choir might
You be singing
Where dost thou lips
Find clinging to
Which canvas are you bringing
All thine love?

Oh sweet love of my life
Didst thou find empty books
For which to write the kindest words
Where will thine eyes cast light
In which direction will thy travel
East west or right?

For where thy compass turns
Assured your pure reflection finds
Your tongue where words will shine
Oh sweet sweet love sweet love of mine
In chambers heart
My sweet love’s spark
Find two halves divide
Of one heart my love for you to find
Yourself the other half the whole
My second part

When First We Meet

In death or in heartbreak
Whether we are lost in
Our feelings or just atoms
The fabric of our being
Comes forth giving into
An unpredictable myriad
Of possible manifestations

When love we thought
We wanted is uncrossed
We lose that part of ourselves
But yet we gain the
Depth of knowing
How beautiful a sourced relationship
Will be in the acceptance
Of the swing that we
Are swinging on

When letting go

I will love you as you want
As you are capable of receiving
I will love myself enough
Not to torture my inner being
For to want what you cannot
Gift to me can be a cracking open
Of a thing that does not
Want to be lived or loved
In such a way

Hence there will come a day
When the truest love will find itself
Running a race to sit beside us
On the bench of this heart
In stilled festivities of emotion
All will make sense as newfound
Laughter will commence
In such a way that true love
Finds itself at the center
Of a web of which will be
Devoured by the spider
That craves not the meal
Of a fly but the bluest blue

The psychics eye
The sweetest sweet
The tenderest of heart beats
Of a lover who will musically caress
The greatest unknown abyss
Of love left yet to share
One no one else was
Truly capable to bear

Your Words

If you’re not opposed
I’ll set out a change of clothes
For when we finally
Get up this afternoon

I can’t remember when
The last time was
I had someone’s lips on me
I’d rather wait for you
Than hook up
Hopelessly

Like screaming fire!
In a crowded theater
My heart is beating
A mile a minute just thinking
Of when you’ll arrive

Why don’t you just
Throw a dagger into me
You sexy beast
Your words are like
Sensuous poetry

Twin Trees

We are a pair
Twin trees at night
Meaningful and bright
I prefer to confine myself
To the roots that hold us upright

Imagine sitting in a concert
Of nature listening to a
Symphony of owls
Your favorite rustling of wings
An orchestra resounding
In the weeds and we
Are so moved by natures music
That our trunks shiver
As they sing bark rattle and ring

Now if just to bring you here
So I can comb through
All your branches
Take care of you a bit
Careful not to split
Your heart in two
Your wood is delicate
To tug at your limbs
Would be a treat

Often in our forest
I think about the arrival of
A Sasquatch parting
Through our woodland
Stepping over boulders
Like a giant strolling deep into
Our dreamland

Would your offshoots bend down
To rescue me from the lumberjacks
Timber! Called out scanning the ground
Axing us down
I want to illustrate that
You know me by sound
That you see me completely
Before the cold gentrified
World comes around
Making bonfires of us
Blazing in ovens
Mulching and chipping
Us up innocently enough

Still never knowing
We’re madly in love

Two Beacons

I opened up my eyes to see
The paradise that blinded me
Two faces standing in my view
Responsible for bright lights hue

The mystery that I behold
Is illustrated to unfold
A crown of wealth for each to tell
The meaning of their presence well

What power glows behind the masks
Of four round ivory pools that cast
Into my open grateful space
The beauty of such beings grace

My understanding never asked
What explanation answers fast
For what innately warmed my soul
Was something words have never told

Two beacons in my static life
Two hearts designed in loves delight
I wish to share reflection to
Express my spirits gratitude

To what great honor do we owe
What magic was in me bestowed
The gift of each existence here
From where did such bright lights appear?

I’m thankful to the Goddess for
She opened up the gateway door
That gave your light a passageway
From which divine existence came

Heaven

Will you tire of me soon
Or sometime after the new moon
Resides behind the sun
In mornings cleansing dew

Will you look for me at dawn
If I’ve wandered out along
The sandy pink crystalline beach
Outside our cottage later on
This coming weekend

Looking behind the smoky glass
Ocean waves slip and crash
Over and up to the gold beige edges
Kicking rocks over cliffs ledges
Illicitly standing at the crest
Watching light travel at its best
Nonchalantly climbing
Through the cracks of
Olive serene soon to turn leaves

Suspended over the oracle of your eyes
Out of body while you sleep I
Swiftly discover that you’re the prize

This must be what ancestry famed
As what could be known to be alive
With one another

If there is a heaven made of wings
Forever hinging on beginnings
I’ll look to it for answers

I’ve seen the outline of your feathers
Which in turn resulted in
Confirming every single one
Of my suspicions beneath the sheets
When something inexplicably
Was tickling me
